How to submit
Please submit your contribution per email in PDF- or MS-Word-format to the managing editor (email@example.com).
We do not request authors to comply to our formatting rules when submitting a paper for the first time. Once an article has been accepted, however, authors are requested to edit their paper according to the guidelines laid out in our stylesheet.
Since a double-blind review system is used, the file you submit should be kept “anonymous”, meaning that your paper should not give away your identity. Instead, please add a second file that includes the full manuscript title, plus names and contact information (mailing address, telephone, fax, e-mail address) for all credited authors in the order their names should appear, as well as each authors' academic rank and institutional affiliation. Here you may also include any acknowledgements or other author notes about the development of the paper (e.g., previous presentations of the research). In the case of multiple authors, indicate who should be contacted. Manuscripts that are judged to be lacking anonymity will be returned, potentially delaying the review processes.
Contemporary Japan is not only available as a conventional hardcopy-version. Publisher De Gruyter also offers an online-version, allowing authors to provide supplementary materials to their contributions such as visual files, video-clips or sound-files. Please direct any questions to the managing editor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
